Senga Hill Town Council has reaffirmed its commitment to improving service delivery by prioritising road grading and the construction of maternity annexes across the district. This was revealed by the Council Secretary, Mr. Anthony Kalunga, who emphasized that these interventions are aimed at improving access, safety, and essential health services for communities.
Road opening will enhance farmers’ ability to transport their produce to markets on time, reducing exploitation by middlemen and ensuring they receive fair value for their hard-earned goods. Improved road access will also strengthen local trade, support livelihoods, and contribute to sustainable economic growth in the district., while the construction of maternity annexes will improve maternal and child health outcomes by bringing quality healthcare closer to the people.
These priorities reflect the Council’s continued dedication to addressing community needs and supporting sustainable development in Senga Hill District.
