20 January 2026,
At Mwenyi Primary School in Senga Hill Constituency, a simple switch now tells a powerful story. Through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), a solar power installation on a CDF staff house has brought reliable electricity to teachers’ accommodation, subtly changing daily life. Evenings are no longer cut short, lesson preparation no longer waits for daylight, and the quiet frustration once felt in the dark has gently faded.
This achievement does more than power lights. It eases the unspoken hardships of rural service, restores comfort and dignity, and reassures teachers that their commitment is valued. With dependable electricity comes renewed morale, fewer complaints, and a stronger sense of belonging. In this small but meaningful way, CDF is making rural postings more livable and strengthening the foundation for quality education.
