Senga Hill District has once again recorded a proud milestone by successfully hosting the World HIV Testing, Counseling and Treatment (HTCT) Day, held together with the Physiotherapy Day for Northern Province.
The joint commemoration brought together community members, health experts, government officials and partners in development to raise awareness on two critical areas of public health.
HTCT Day placed a spotlight on the importance of knowing one’s HIV status, early treatment, and the role of community support in the fight against HIV and AIDS. The event encouraged people to take advantage of available health services for a healthier and stronger community.
Physiotherapy Day highlighted the role of rehabilitation and physical therapy in improving quality of life, especially for the aged and for those recovering from injuries, living with disabilities, or managing chronic illnesses.
Hosting these two important provincial events in Senga Hill is a testament to the district’s growing recognition and commitment to community well-being. The Council and health stakeholders extend gratitude to all who participated and contributed to making this day a success.
Together, we are building a healthier, stronger Northern Province – starting right here in Senga Hill.
