A recent spot check at the Chandaemba Roadside Market has revealed that marketeers have begun utilizing the newly constructed market shelter. This development comes weeks after Senga Hill Town Council Secretary, Ms. Milly Muluti, encouraged the business community in the area to make use of the facility.
The market shelter, bus stop, borehole and VIP toilets were constructed through the World Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, aimed at enhancing infrastructure for small-scale traders and improving local economic activities.
As a public service provider, the Council commends the people of Chandaemba for taking this bold and commendable step. By embracing and utilizing this facility, they are not only contributing to a cleaner and more organized trading environment but also actively promoting economic growth within the district.
The Council remains committed to supporting initiatives that uplift communities and calls upon other market areas to emulate Chandaemba’s example.
